I began this as a rough sketch of just the face. I didn't have an idea as to what the end result would be. I added things as I went. I usually have a finished image in mind when I begin a work but not this time. I began adding bits and pieces of other paintings I've done recently of a volcano and another of the ocean. Things just sort of came together and I ended up with a collage which reminds me of those old time movie posters. Comments and crits are welcome.
